These instruments are a mandolin/ukulele hybrid. A tenor ukulele shape but with the body braced, neck reinforced and scale length to take steel strings tuned to mandolin tuning.
This pair are surprisingly loud and would be able to hold they’re own in most session situations. One has a spruce top and maple back sides and neck. The other has a cedar top and mahogany back and sides, using mahogany reclaimed from Temple Back Fire station in Bristol.
